Alice Nero Obituary
Alice was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was formerly Co-Owner and owner/operator for 38 years of Jeddo's Toyland & Luncheonette before retiring in 1985. She was a former member of the church council and choir at the former St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cementon. After it's closing she became a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church, Whitehall-Egypt. Alice was always an active person always on the move, including hiking the Alps on a family vacation at the age of 83.
Surviving are daughters, Linda E. wife of Gregory Heffner, Carol J. Szoke, Janice A. wife of Michael Fetchko all of Whitehall, PA. 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandson. She was predeceased by her son Gerald, son in-law, Frank Szoke, grandson, Kyle Szoke and seven siblings.
Funeral Services will held at 12:00PM on Friday April 14, 2023 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St. Whitehall, PA 18052 with the Rev. James Schlegel officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM in church prior to services. Interment will follow in Egypt Cemetery, Whitehall, PA. Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067 has been entrusted with her care and services.
Contributions may be made to Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church Memorial fund c/o the funeral home.

Sincere sympathy to the family for your huge loss.
"Mrs. Jeddo" was such a nice lady. I will never forget her and your Dad and their kindness to my Dad and me as we went to get good eats and to toy shop.
I think of your parents, their store and of times past visiting with my late Dad every time as well when I drive by the old Jeddo's .
Childhood was made extra special there thanks to your parents.
One of a kind store and good people still living on in "adult" kids hearts.

I have fond memories that go back to the 50s. Jeddo made the best chipsteaks ever! He also took me to Yankee games along with Sammy Ambrosino and Indian.I loved to visit with Alice over the years and lately with Carol and family. My condolences to you all.

I lived in Cementon as a young teen.
Everyday after school, we would go into Jeddo´s for our snack and drink for the walk home. Such good people with big hearts. May you rest in peace. Prayers for the friends and family.
