Amanda Shelly Obituary
Amanda L. Shelly, 20, of Northampton, died Saturday. She was born July 18, 1991 in Fountain Hill. Amanda was the daughter of Maureen L. (Snoke) Vooz, of Northampton and Matthew H. Shelly of Nazareth. Amanda was a talented artist, she was a beloved and integral part of our family who brought joy, even in the toughest of times, with her beautiful smile and perseverance. Amanda who worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant and most recently was employed at The Wooden Match in Bethlehem. She will be missed more than she could ever know. Survivors: Besides her parents, brother, Ian M. Shelly, sister, Nora L. Vooz, brother, Philip M. Vooz and sister, Olivia L. Vooz, all of Northampton; maternal grandfather, Michael Snoke and his wife Alys, of Camp Hill; maternal grandmother, Judith (Keglovitz) Snoke, of Northampton; paternal grandmother, Jean Shelly, of Whitehall; maternal great grandmother Jennie Keglovitz, of Bethlehem; step father, Joel M. Vooz, of Northampton; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Services: Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 18 at 1 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Family and friends may call Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Contributions: Memorials may be presented to Crisis Intervention c/o funeral home.

Amanda was my kindergarten buddy when we were at the Franklin Elementary. I will never forget her sweet little face smiling everytime. they would bring us down to kindergarten for crafts or to read and her so little at the time was so enjoyable to be around and teach her things every week. My sympathy and love i send to her family. I really enjoyed and am happy i was able to be part of her life. Amanda, I never knew you that well but reading all these stories from others makes me wish I had. From the times we've met in passing I always enjoyed your company. I remember hanging out with you at the one Newhard Pharmacy Christmas party and we walked to the turkey hill together. I also remember talking to you the one day when I was on break at the pharmacy and you worked at Northampton Village. And once during midterms you met up with Audra and I at Miller's diner. I'm glad to have these memories though they are far and few in between. To the family I offer nothing but sympathy, strength and hope that you may find solace somewhere through this hardship. May your todays be filled with courage and your tomorrows be filled with bright and fond memories. When it rains, it may pour but at the end of any storm there's always sunshine and a rainbow. <3

Amanda was such a sweet girl. I have't seen her in a year or two, but whenever i would visit my ex at Newhards she would always joke around with me and was always pleasant.
I just can't believe your gone. I remember we went on a 'hell ride' home from the Community Days fair a couple years ago and I got lost trying to find your house.

I am unbelievably saddended to hear of the passing of Amanda. The days will be a little darker without her light shining, but each night a new star will be lighting up the heavens...and we'll all know it's Amanda smiling down on us. She was such a delight to know during our years together at NAHS. I cannot say that they were always the best of times, but they certainly were not the darkest, either. I was totally devastsed getting that painful phone all from Matt but just know she was wonderful person both inside & out.
