Andrew Jenkins Obituary
A 1992 graduate of William Allen High School, Andy excelled in football and wrestling. He was a District and Regional Champion at 171 lbs. and placed 2nd in the state tournament, losing by one point in overtime. Andy attended James Madison University on a wrestling scholarship. He transferred to Moravian University on football scholarship and was named to ALL MAC first-team at noseguard. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Moravian and a Master's Degree in Education from Wilkes University. He was a teacher in the North Penn School District and taught at Pennfield Middle School for 15 yrs. Andy was a member of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena Catholic Church.
He was a lifelong fan of the Yankees and Steelers and proudly shared an extensive collection of 70's & 80's memorabilia. His witty and whimsical sense of humor will forever have friends and family laughing and made him a favorite of his loving nieces.
Survived by fiancee Andrea Buckno, brother Jason and partner Renee Benner, sister Laurie Smith and husband Michael, and nieces Bailey Bourgeois, Quinn Jenkins and Lola Smith, as well as his 8-yr-old Newfoundland "Reagan." At Andy's request services are private.

Mr. Jenkins was one of the best teachers I ever had. He was always a classroom I felt safe in. Walking into his room was like taking a deep breath. He always made learning fun. I am grateful to have known him.

Andrew Jenkins was an amazing history teacher during my time at Pennfield Middle School. His lessons were so engaging, which led me to eventually continue historical studies beyond my high school education, and actually led me to my current major at university; without his class, I may never have found my niche.
