Dorothy Mae "Dot" Riddick

Dorothy Mae Riddick born January 19th 1961, 65, of Allentown, transitioned peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Born in Allentown, she was the beloved daughter of Helen (Riddick) Parrish and Phillip Joseph Roberts.

Dorothy was a proud graduate of William Allen High School and devoted to her Christian faith. Affectionately known as "Dot" to many, she dedicated her life to her family and to uplifting those in her community. Her journey was one of resilience, strength, and inspiration. Dot believed deeply that a person's past does not define their future, and she lived as a powerful example that success and purpose can come from perseverance and faith.

Dot was known for her generous heart and her passion for bringing people together. Through her work and service, she provided opportunities for others in her community and created spaces where people felt welcomed and supported. Many will remember the warmth of her spirit and the love she poured into every meal served from Dot's kitchen - where food was more than nourishment; it was an expression of care, comfort, and connection.

Above all, Dorothy cherished her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Shalanda, Shakime, Tashun, Naiseja, and Naisheme Riddick; her siblings, Gladys Riddick, Phillis Riddick, Philbert Riddick, Valerie Hilton, and Borita Reed-Riddick, Larry Riddick, Clarence Riddick; 17 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren, all of whom will continue to honor her memory.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Edna Riddick, Stephanie Hilton, and Dorian Vanessa Battle and brother Chester Roberts.

Services: A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th & Hamilton Streets, Allentown. A viewing will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
