Anna Prorok Obituary
Anna M. Prorok, 89, died Friday, September 17 in Phoebe Richlandtown Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late John L. Prorok. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Chrapovic) Bednar. She was a lifelong communicant of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church, Allentown. Survivors: Daughter, Christina M. Prorok, wife of Arthur R. Riccio, of Allentown; grandchildren, Richarld L. of Vancouver, British Columbia, Margaret and J. Christopher, both of Bethlehem, Attorney John H. of Pittsburgh, Ann of New York City, Maria of New Rochelle, N.Y., J.J. Jr in Delaware; four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased in death by sons, Dr. Joseph and Richard, and a brother, Joseph Bednar. Services: 9:30 a.m. Friday, Kohut Funeral Home, 950 N. Front St., Allentown. Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. Friday in the church. Call 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Johns Scholarship Fund, c/o the funeral home 18102-1912.

With deepest sympathy. In my mind's eye, I can still see Mrs. Prorok in her stylish dress, with slips that made her dress float all about her, her pearl necklace, earings to match, looking like June Cleaver..........all this while she either kept her home clean or while in the kitchen making something wonderful for supper for her family. These are my wonderful memories of Mrs. Prorok.
