Anna Tercha Obituary

Anna Haaf Tercha, 92 years, of Haafsville/Fogelsville, went to meet her "Frankie" and the Lord June 1, 2020 at home. She was the wife of the late Frank Tercha. Born in Breinigsville, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Eva L. (Smith) Haaf.

Anna was a member of Ziegels Lutheran Church in Breinigsville. Her farms and her family were the greatest loves of her life. Farmer was not only a job title but a way of life. As a child she helped her father with the care of dairy cattle and later on the horse drawn milk delivery route through Haafsville. Then it was on to tractor and field work.

For many years, from November to April, she worked for the former Hess Brothers in Allentown. Music and singing were on her list of passions as well and between 1945-47 sang with the Municipal Opera Co. in Allentown (Babes in Toyland", "Girl Crazy", and "Katinka"). Anna was a wonderful pianist as well. There was always music in the house. She was also the Lehigh Dairy Queen.

Anna and her "Frankie" shared a love of farming and worked tirelessly to add to her father's collection of farms. She was a devoted wife and mother and will be missed beyond all measure.

Survivors: Daughter, Kate E.M. Tercha and husband William Ternosky of Fogelsville, grandchildren, Jillian and Justin Ternosky.

Services: A visitation will take place from 9:45 to 10:45 AM on Monday, June 8 at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville. Private Service. Interment, Ziegels Union Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com. Please note that the new state guidelines will be followed limiting the number of people allowed inside the building at the same time. Face masks will be required and social distancing will occur.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to PA Caring Hearts Animal Rescue, c/o the funeral home, PO Box 52, Fogelsville, 18051.

Dear Katie,
We are very sorry to learn of your mothers
passing. We always enjoyed her company over the years; at our home, at the Art Is Inn and at your parents home for game night or just visiting. We always thought that it has been so wonderful how she and your father along with you, have been able to maintain the farms about Haafsville which we know that she loved. She was always so caring and over the years would call us from time to time to catch up on our family and let us know what was new with her family as well. She was blessed to have had such a good husband along with a caring daughter throughout her life.

Katie, It has been a blessing the last 17 years living so close to Mom and Dad. So often they would stop and chat while passing by. Over the last couple years Duane and I had the privledge of sitting with Anna for hours and listening to stories of her childhood, her "Katie" and the love of her life "Frankie". She beamed when she spoke of you and him. She lived a long wonderful life full of many memories that she loved to share. She will be greatly missed. I hope you find peace in knowing she loved you dearly and she is now back with her true love "Frankie".
Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Anna you were a good friend to my Mom Irene and were school mates since you were little. And when my mom and I would visit you and her would always reminisce about the good old days. Now you and her can reminisce again together.

Although I came to a special friendship with Anna for only a very short time , it was a God given time I got to share with her. It was a joy to share in our special bond (my mother), our likeness of Hess's memories, hear her Franky stories and some of her childhood times on the farm. It was a treat to sit on her porch and crochet, take a gator ride and serve her special meals, times I will cherish. She had a kindness about her and she loved her Katie. I am so grateful to God to have our lives touch.
She will always be a specialtreasure I will hold dear to my heart..
I will miss her❤

Katie So I took a ride today on Haaf road and Tercha road. So many childhood memories came flooding back. I looked at the barn or part of the barn and remembered the white horse you would let me ride and the butchering that took place in that small barn I went a bit farther and the views that your parents had over the valley continues to be amazing. I tried to call a number that I had for you but apparently is no longer in service. I wish I could be there on Monday but cant. Your mom along with mine are the nicest people I know. I have so many fond memories. Im so very sorry for your loss. Anna was such a special lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I so miss those simple times. Shes with your Dad and looking as beautiful as she did on her wedding day. Love ya. Jane

Sorry for your loss Katie and Bill. Spring and the Peonies are blooming. Anna always loved them and I would try to bring her some every year. She was my other mother. We spent a lot of time in the back kitchen talking while she was preparing food for Frank, or in the evening, with Frank on the couch with the old afghan blanket and the 3 dogs just chatting away. I will always have found memories. Now she is with Frank and the cycle is complete.

I grew up in Haafsville, and often walked up to the barn to see the cows. Anna and Frank did a wonderful job keeping the area rural. May they rest in Peace, together again. Diane (Neimeyer) Heller
