Anthony Sid Consoli, 83, of 65 W. Mussmano Ave. Rear, Nesquehoning, died April 9, 2008, in Blue Mountain Health Systems Ganden Huetten Campus, Lehighton. He was the husband of the late Lucille (Rakos) Consoli and Maudy Consoli. Born in Nesquehoning, he was a son of the late Louis and Maria (Cossitorto) Consoli. He was employed by Lehigh Navigation Coal Company for many years and then by Lansford Lamp Factory as a sprayer until retiring. He served in the Army. A lifelong resident of Nesquehoning, Sid was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Nesquehoning. He was a member of Lehighton American Legion. Survivors: Companion, Helen Rehatchek of Nesquehoning; three brothers, Louis of Panama City, Fla., Joseph and his wife Barbara (Hartranft) of Elizabethtown, Frank and his companion Dorothy of Mount Joy; sister, Carolina Remaker of Elizabethtown; nieces, nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, James and John. Services: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home, 81 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning. Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. Saturday, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 15 W. Garibaldi Ave., Nesquehoning, with Rev. Clifton E. Bishop officiating. Military Graveside Services under the direction of the P.V. Jr. R.O.T.C. and the Nesquehoning U.V.O., Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Nesquehoning. Call 6-8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Saturday, both in the funeral home, with Nesquehoning U.V.O. service at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
