Not sure what to say?

Dear Patsy,

I want to be someone of the Fritchey family to extend my condolences on the loss of your son.

This morning as my brother and I placed flowers on my Momma's grave I saw the remains of what must have been a beautiful bouquet in tribute to your son placed on the Fritchey kneeler. My heart was wrenched.

Your son was one of too many of our family to be taken prematurely. I am saddened for you.

Just like your sister, your son never was allowed to ripen to old age as he should have been able. How fortunate he was to have been able to have a family to carry on our heritage!

Know that there is just one more person in a long list who cares.

Your cousin,

Joanne Schrei Ronyack

How do i begin....I spent lot's of time in the Fasching house growing up. Tony was my 1st slow dance at St. Elizabeth School where Kal's Kids would play.Nan and I traveled along with Kal's Kids, what great times we had. Tony and I had run into each other occasionally over the years and would briefly catch up. I am so sad that Tony is gone, but I know that he is at peace. Take comfort in all the wonderful memories you all have with Tony, they will make you smile and help you heal with time. Please know that you are all always in my heart.

With love, Sue (Gougher) Dinan

There are never the right words to express the sadness we feel when we lose someone that we love. Even though I hung around with Billy a little more and my brother Jack hung around with Tony, I can still remember the good times we had together. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Cousin and Family,
My heart is very heavy these past days. Tony was my cousin who we also called T-Bone! I have so many wonderful memories of all our cousin get togethers. Not too many can say "their cousins made albums and played gigs we got to go to!" All those childhood plays in T-Bones basement, family dinners at grammys house.cramming all us kids into Uncle Franks car with T-Bone at the wheel...all what fun... unforgetable times. Tony thanks for so many wonderful memories. I think heaven will have some great guitar music playing for us when we all meet again. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jerri, Sarah, Tony Jr.,Aunt Pat, Uncle Frank and all my "bestest cousins ever" Rest in peace dear cousin.

Life is only complete with friends. I can still remember Tony showing my son the chords and notes to Stairway to Heaven. How appropriate that he is remembered by me and Sean, as he ascends to meet his friend, Jesus.

My most sincere condolence to his wife, Jerri, his children, his mom, dad, and brothers and sisters.

We'll meet again, Tony.

You are all in my every thought and prayer. Tony is with my Mom and Dad now... And I know they are all looking after each other and looking after us. I am deeply saddened by the loss of Tony, and I got here as soon as I could.
The only comfort I find is knowing that there is now such wonderful music in heaven.
I love you all.

The all of the Fasching Family:
As one of my sisters stated, we have known the Fasching family for 30 years. All though we were teenagers hanging out years ago, we have those memories to look back on. I can remember my dad taking us to Queen City to see the guys dad worked with, or seeing the shark in the fish tank ( I think his name was Mikey). Now that we are grown up with families and children of our own and losing some of our family members that we love, I look back on those memories to tell my daughter who these people we lost along the way are and how they were important to us. I'm sure that all the Fasching family have a special moment to cherish in their memories forever of Tony.

God Bless

Hi Jeri and Family,
My heart goes out to all of you during this difficult time. I know the last few months have been painful for everyone, especially Tony. The Tony I remember would never have wanted his family to suffer so please don't be angry. Instead, take comfort in knowing that it is better to love and to have lost then never too have loved. In just a couple of days it will be 4 years since Stan passed so I know your grief but I smile as I write because I am confident that they are at Peace and Rocking the Heavens.

Take care of yourselves, now and always. You're worth it!

Sarah and Family.. I'm very sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed talking music with your dad every week after your lesson. He was very proud of your flute playing.

Linda Fasching (Phillips)

April 13, 2008

Jerri, Sarah, Tony Jr., & the entire Fasching Family,

I only knew Tony a short 23 years. I came around in 1985. Unfortunately I did not have the pleasure of hearing him play in Kal’s Kids, Good Life, and The Young Ideas (which I’m pretty sure there are still albums around somewhere). But I did hear my fair share of his “gigs” including him playing at our wedding while guest were arriving for dinner.
However, I was around for Weddings, births, graduations, anniversary’s and other family affairs. Tony is the one who always made the initiative to host a party. The “Bone Mansion” hosted many family affairs and when they got too big he would rent a hall. He always wanted his family together to celebrate any and all occasions, including his death. He celebrated life here on earth and I know he is celebrating in the light in heaven. The Tony I know would not want tears and sorrow he would want a celebration. So Tony, I will celebrate for you. I will receive your energy and make your journey into the heavenly realm a party like you want.
There are no words to describe the loss of a son, husband, father, brother or family member. However, Tony is with us. He may not have a physical body but his soul lives on. He will let us know when he is around. It may be very subtle and when we least expect it. A light not going out because he wants us to live in light and happiness, music notes, piano keys, guitars in unlikely places, or in the heart and soul of a young child.
He is among us with the world at his hands.

Peace, Love and St. Cecelia – Bone

I'll always remember Tony as a high-ranking member of an elite group of Lehigh Valley musicians who inspired and encouraged me to follow my muse. Tony was a scary good guitarist, and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to share some great guitars, licks, and good times with such a kind and generous soul. Deepest condolences to the Fasching family. I'll be sure to play some choice T-Bone licks in Orlando tomorrow night.

Jerri, children and the Fasching family.

Like many area musicians, I had tremendous respect for Tony's ability on his instrument. Everyone knew what a GREAT player he was.

I remember years ago, his telling me about having been in the hospital for something with his back and using the time in his room to practice. Something along the lines, "Yea, man. I mean, I figured I could use the time to just lay there and see how fast I could pick." Typical T-Boy!

I didn't know him as well as some, but I remember this, I never heard Tony say a negative word. Not about anything or anybody.

Rest peacefully, T. We'll be along.

May God bless you and your family.

Tony was a brother to me. We spent all of our younger years together day & night. I spent more time eating & sleeping at his house than I did mine. Tony & his family introduced me to the great world of music. Back when the Beatles came to the USA, Tony & I would lay on my parents basement floor and paint posters of them. We would pretend we were them & run out of the house with the fans chasing us. We built model cars together in his bedroom & it seems just like yesterday when little brother Billy was sticking creyons down the air holes of his drums. I remember playing with the slot machine in the basement & how well his family treated me. Even though we went our separate ways & didn't see each other for a long time, I'll take these memories to my grave. I'll miss you brother from another mother....

I was a graduating classmate of Tony's (CCHS, '72) and I'll never forget seeing his band play at a 9th grade dance. Tony was the first rock star I met in person and knew. A nice guy, confident yet humble, with a ready smile and laugh. And a great guitar player, even in 9th grade. Tony made people happy just being around him and that's a rare quality.

My family has known the Fasching family for nearly thirty years. Though I haven't seen Tony since I was a teenager, I know that he was a great guy. My grandfather (Arthur "Bunky" Schmoyer, deceased in 2002) and my dad, Steve Kuhns, really enjoyed Tony's friendship over the years. Back when I was in junior high school, one of my sisters and I were interested in music and singing, and thought that it would be fun to start a band with some of our friends. I can remember my dad talking to Tony about it, and Tony was interested in helping us, and even wrote some music for a song that I had started to write.

I am so sorry to all of Tony's family and friends. May the memories help to ease your pain.

Tony, I hope that you have reunited your friendship with my grandfather... may you rest in peace, just as I hope he has.

Deepest Sympathy,

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
