Anthony Garbaczewski Obituary

Anthony W. Garbaczewski, 92, of Bethlehem, died on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Westminster Village. Born in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Zaganski) Garbaczewski. He was the husband of the late Margaret A. (Dobyan) Garbaczewski who died in 1996. They were married for 46 years. Anthony was a machinist employed by Sarco for many years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bethlehem, and the Lehigh Southside Boosters. He was also a member of the Bethlehem MORA Club with whom he volunteered for various organizations and causes. He was a veteran of the Navy having served in WWII. Anthony's family would like to thank the staff of Westminster Village for the kind and compassionate care of their father. Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Nancy Aschenbach & husband Walter and Ann Breiner & husband David; grandchildren, Michael Clifford & wife Martha and Lisa Womack & husband Jesse; and great grandchildren, Jay and George Womack, David and Roger Clifford, and Alex Patterson. He was predeceased by his brothers, Alexander, Walter and Edmund; and sisters, Josephine Kuzmack and Stephanie Kirk. Services: Viewing hours will be held in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, on Thursday, May 25th from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Friday, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. An 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow, on Friday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1817 1st St, Bethlehem, PA 18020. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Contributions: Memorials may be made to the church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Offer condolences online at www.connellfuneral.com.
