Arlene M. Bauer, 82, formerly of Allentown, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009 in Westminster Village, Allentown. She was the widow of Louis J. Bauer. Born in Hanover Township, she was the daughter of the late James G. and Jennie M. (Fenstermacher) Eroh. She co-owned and co-operated, along with her husband, the former A.B. Vacuum Cleaner Service, Allentown, from 1955 until retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Travelers Protection Association. Survivors: Sons, Don Bauer and his wife, Barbara, of San Francisco, Calif., Spence Bauer and his wife, Jeanie, of El Segundo, Calif., Blaine Bauer and his wife, Jeanene, of Allentown; daughters, Barbara, wife of Joseph Freeman, of Kempton, Frances, wife of David Dibble, of Oakland, Calif., Loretta, wife of Alan Ottinger, of Fleetwood; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, J. Albert Eroh and Robert Eroh. Services: memorial, 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th and Hamilton streets, Allentown.
