Barbara-Anne Elmore Obituary

Barbara-Anne Elmore
Barbara-Anne Mary Elmore of Macungie, passed away suddenly in her home at age 62. She was born in Fort Knox, Ky., a daughter of the late Walter and Anna Dilks. Her interests included bird-watching, star-gazing, photography and pets. She had a love of our environment, which led to membership in the Environmental Defense Fund, National Parks Conservation Assoc., National Wildlife Federation, Ducks Unlimited and P.E.T.A. Survivors: She is survived by a daughter, Shea Elmore in California; a son, Kelley S. Elmore of Oley; two sisters, Mary LouAlarcon of Spring, Texas and Patty JoThompson ofEl Paso, Texas; two brothers, Harry Dilks of El Paso, Texas and Sonny Dilks ofChapparel, Texas; nine grandchildren; many nieces, nephews. Services: memorial, will be held in St. Joseph (Hill) Lutheran Church, 244 Koch Road., Boyertown on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Jeffrey W. Odgren. Arrangements are by Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Royersford. Online condolences may be offered at: www.royersfordfuneralhome.com. Contributions: May be made in Barbara-Annes memory to any of the above organizations.

Dear Kelley and Shea,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. May you find strength in each other and in your family to carry you through your grief.

Dear Shea and Kelley,

I became acquainted with your mother in the early 70's as neighbors at the Devonshire Park Apartments. Shea, I believe you were born after your parents moved to Focht Avenue in the Greenawalds neighborhood. I remember your mother as a warm, gracious lady with whom I shared many many conversations. You both were such bright lights in her life.

Although I do not know why she was called home so soon, I do know that your mother is surely one of God's special angels. Please accept my heartfelt condolences in her loss.
