Barbara Bedics Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved sister/mother/aunt/grammy, Barbara Lynn Bedics, age 78, of Allentown PA, on January 23, 2023. Barbara battled a relatively short, but aggressive, form of cancer.

She leaves behind her sister, Anna Domyan Werner of Bangor, Anna's son Gregory Werner and his wife Lisa Werner of Fountain Hill; her daughter, Debra Szabo of Bethlehem; her sons, Robert Domyan of Allentown and Larry Domyan originally of King of Prussia; her grandsons, (Robert's sons) Robbie Domyan of Bethlehem and Kevin Domyan of Northampton; and her cousin, Rosie Yost and Rosie's husband Les Yost of Miller Heights and their children John and Cindy.

Barbara was born in Bethlehem PA on May 12, 1944 to Charles Domyan and Julia Szilagyi. She is pre-deceased by her brothers Ronald Domyan and Richard Domyan, her parents, her step-father Frank Kucsan, her husband Joseph Bedics, her nephew Barry Werner, and her brother-in-law Bill Werner.

Throughout her life, Barbara was employed at Phoenix Clothes, Grief Companies, Goosey Gander, Valley Farms, and Exxon Mobile Gas Station. By the world's standards, Barbara was not rich in life. But I, Dave Barrow (aka Larry Domyan) of Union Hall VA, can personally bear witness that she is rich in death, and now has her eternal reward. "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13)

Barb was such a sweet woman and wonderful neighbor. I will miss our chats when I saw her driving home from work. I know she is at peace now reunited with Joe in heaven.

I´m so so sorry for your loss. I worked with Barb at Valley Farm Market, she was the sweetest, nicest woman I´ve ever met. While caring for my parents every time she saw me she would ask how they were, but most importantly she asked how I was doing. She knew I was having a tough time caring for them, after they passed she gave me a sympathy card with a monetary gift. I tried to give it back to her but she refused to take it. I missed working with her when she left, but when she saw me when she shopped she would always give me a hug and ask how I´m doing. I was so devastated when I heard of her passing she was a wonderful woman and the world was a better place with her in it. I´m sure she´s talking to my parents telling them how much I love and miss them cuz she knew just by the way I would talk about them sometimes even getting teary eyed as I am now talking about the 3 of them. Heaven is a better place now with them in it, but I wish they were still here with us. Sending love, hugs and prayers to you and your family for the loss of a very special lady whom I´ll always remember. Gone but never ever forgotten. I hope she knew how much her kind words and gestures meant to me, I lived her like my own mom! Rest In Peace Barb and give my parents a big hug and tell them how much I love and miss them until we all meet again. Luv ya always Barb!!

Deepest sympathy to Barbara's children and sister. My husband's father is a cousin of hers on the Domyan side and all the years I was her doctor I never knew she was related to my husband and sons. So now I offer condolences not only as her doc but from our family of 4 to her family. She was a very special patient and I consider it an honor to have been her family doctor
