Cheryl Leigh Bedics, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother, peacefully passed away on May 6, 2024, in Bethlehem, PA, at the age of 61. Born on December 30, 1962, in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of Elwood Walton and Barbara (Hollister) Walton Mitchell.
Cheryl was known for her warm heart and unwavering love for her family. Her dedication to her family was unparalleled, and she found immense joy in spending time with them.
A graduate of Freedom High School, Cheryl was most recently employed as a grocery manager for Redners. Cheryl's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a member of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish in Bethlehem. She found solace and comfort in her faith community and was a source of strength for many. In her leisure time, Cheryl enjoyed playing games on her phone, shopping on Amazon, and doting on her beloved dog, Penny.
Cheryl was predeceased by her father, Elwood.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Tom Bedics, with whom she would've celebrated 42 years of marriage with on November 20; mother, Barbara and her husband, Johnny; son, Billy Bedics and his wife, Michelle; daughter, Ami Bedics; brother, Tim Walton and his wife, Lisa; two sisters, Diane Walton and her spouse, Tammy Walbert and Susan Labukas and her husband, Jack; granddaughter, Sophia; and many nieces and nephews.
A viewing to celebrate Cheryl's life will be held at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 6-8:00 p.m. A second viewing will take place on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, 617 Pierce St., Bethlehem, PA 18015, at 10:00 am.
