Craig R. Snyder

Craig R. Snyder, 73, of Nazareth, PA, passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2026.

Born on September 5, 1952, in Bethlehem, PA, Craig was one of five children born to the late Harold and Pearl Snyder. Throughout his life, Craig was known for his wisdom, kindness, generosity, and genuine love of life.

A graduate of Freedom High School, Class of 1970, Craig excelled on the Patriots football field-an experience that sparked a lifelong devotion to the Chicago Bears. His competitive spirit, leadership, and loyalty followed him well beyond his playing days.

Craig was the founder and owner of Snyder Insurance Agency in Bethlehem, PA, established in 1981. A respected and accomplished businessman, he was admired for his integrity, guidance, and mentorship. The relationships he built with clients over decades evolved into some of his most meaningful and cherished friendships.

Among Craig's greatest joys were snowmobiling in upstate New York with his dear friends Chris, Bob, and Linda, spending time outdoors, sharing stories and laughter, and most of all, being "Pop-Pop" to his five beloved grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of his life.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Pearl Snyder; his sister, Jeanette Bernhardt; and his niece, Lisa Retter. He is survived by his devoted wife, Bonnie, and her mother, Elsie Berger; his three daughters, Kelli Gathers (Harold), Kristen Ricker (Tye), and Katie Bruch (Vinnie); his grandchildren, Leo, Aubrey, Emma, Evan, and Hunter; his siblings, Sharon, Cathy, and Doug; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to Visitation hours on Tuesday, January 27, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, followed by a service at 7:00 PM in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Craig's memory to the Freedom High School Patriot Club or the Southern Tug Hill Sno-riders, organizations that reflect his lifelong passions and friendships.
