Lois Post Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pearson Funeral Home, Inc. - Bethlehem on Feb. 16, 2026.
Lois Ann Post, 88, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on July 28,1937, to Henry and Emma (Geritz) Venseret, Loey, as she was known her entire life, lived a life defined by compassion, courage, faith, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. A graduate of St. Luke's School of Nursing, she answered her calling as a nurse with both skill and heart, serving in hospitals and doctors' offices throughout her career. Patients and colleagues alike knew her as a dedicated and courageous caregiver - steady, capable, and deeply kind.

Loey was a devoted member of Grace Church in Bethlehem, where she served as an Elder, participated in Stephen Ministry, and visited members in hospitals. Her faith was something she practiced daily through quiet acts of service, encouragement, and generosity. She consistently placed the needs of others before her own, embodying selflessness in its truest form.

A devoted wife and mother, Loey was the heart of her family. In support of her husband's career, she created warm and welcoming homes in eight different locations - each one thoughtfully made into a place of comfort, stability, and love.

Loey loved to travel and explore the world. She visited all 50 states and journeyed abroad to France, Kenya, Israel, Turkey, and England, delighting in new cultures, landscapes, and experiences. Whether traveling far from home or enjoying the simple pleasures of daily life, she approached the world with curiosity and gratitude.

An avid reader with an inquisitive mind, Loey was always eager to learn something new. She was a self-taught seamstress and accomplished pianist who enjoyed fly fishing and golf. An enthusiastic fan of NASCAR and the Indianapolis 500, she rarely missed a race. She found joy in both competition and the quiet beauty of nature.

Her family is deeply grateful for the compassionate and loving care she received from the nurses of St. Luke's Hospice and Kirkland Village during her final days. Their kindness brought comfort to Lois and all who loved her.

Loey will be remembered as beloved and cherished - a woman of strength, grace, and humility whose life was a blessing to many. Her legacy of faith, courage, service, and love will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were privileged to know her.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years David P. Post; daughters Betsy Diamond (Stephen) of Barrington, Illinois, Debra Post of Fair Haven, New Jersey, and Karen Post (Alden Sanchez) of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren Dustin, Elisabeth, Natalie, David and Isabella; and great-grandsons Jack and Nicolas. She was predeceased by a brother Donald Venseret. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 28, in Grace Church Bethlehem, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lois's name may be sent to Grace Church for new building expansion, at 4301 Hecktown Road, Bethlehem, PA 18020, or made online at gracecb.org. Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem, is honored to be entrusted with arrangements. An online tribute may be placed at pearsonfh.com.
