William Stankewicz Obituary

William S. Stankewicz, of Forks Twp., PA passed away peacefully at Country Meadows in Bethlehem, PA on Saturday, February 14, 2026. He was 72 years old. He was the beloved husband of Antoinette (Bravo) Stankewicz for forty-eight wonderful years. Bill was a devoted family man whose warmth, kindness and humor touched the lives of all who knew him.
Born on May 19, 1953, in Perth Amboy, NJ, he was the son of the late Stephen and Mary (Pinelli) Stankewicz of Hopelawn, NJ.
Bill worked at the old Amboys Drive-In in Perth Amboy, NJ before graduating Woodbridge High School, Woodbridge, NJ. He started his career with various Bell Companies, retiring from Verizon after 36 years as a Cable Splicer. During his retirement he worked for Seniors Helping Seniors and became friends with many of his clients.
Bill took great joy in his dogs Rags, Caesar and Julius and in animals and wildlife. He could fix anything and liked doing home maintenance and repairs for himself and others. Bill always could do it better himself! He had been an avid bowler scoring one 300 game and was a fan of NASCAR and the NJ Devils. He also was a voracious reader and a student of WWII history.
Along with his wife, Toni, Bill is survived by his loving sister, Mary C. Stankewicz of Hopelawn, NJ. Bill will also be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law, Theresa-Ann Bravo of East Brunswick, NJ, and his brother-in-law, James Bravo and his wife Christine of Moncks Corner, SC. He is also survived by his cherished nephew, Nicholas A. Bravo and his wife Carissa, also of Moncks Corner, SC as well as two great nieces Hailey Ann and Makayla Rose who brought him immense joy.
