Barbara Geist Obituary
Barbara M. Geist, 66, of Alburtis, died Tuesday, November 29, 2005 in her home. She was the wife of William A. Geist Sr., who died on September 11, 2005. She worked for Allen Organ, Macungie, for seven years retiring in January of 1998. Previously, she was employed by the former Royal Manufacturing Company, Alburtis, for 34 years. Born in South Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Kuhns and the late Margaret (Hartzell) Kuhns Kistler. She was a member and former church school teacher at Church of the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Alburtis. She also was a member of Lower Macungie and Alburtis senior citizen organizations. Survivors: Sons, William Jr. and Todd D.; brothers, Dale Kuhns and Carl Kuhns; sisters, Geraldine Bower and Sandra Kline; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by siblings, Raymond Kuhns Jr. and Doris Geist. Services: 10 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2005 in the church. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville and 9-10 a.m. Friday in the church. Contributions: Hospice St. John, c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box 190, Breinigsville 18031.
