Barbara A. Jenkins

Barbara A. (Rump) Jenkins, 73, of Quakertown, PA, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. She was the widow of John W. Jenkins, who passed away in 2015. Born in Reading, PA, she was a daughter of the late Harlan L. and Betty J. (Kunkel) Rump. Barbara last worked as a caretaker for Comfort Keepers in Quakertown where she was recognized as caretaker of the year just before she retired in 2023. Prior to that she was an independent truck driver, AKA "Little Bit", for 37 years. Survivors include her daughters, Machell D. (Glenn D.) Helbert of Allentown, PA, Kelly J. (James) Plante of Quakertown, with whom she last resided, Bobbie Jo (Tracy) Kahler of Dublin, PA; son, Larry G. Martis, Jr. of Reading, PA; sisters, Nancy Kramer of Alburtis, PA, LaRue (Robert) Pope of AZ, Donna Rump and Brenda (Dwayne) Hopkins both of Kutztown, PA; brothers, Harlan L. (Eileen) Rump of Orwigsburg, PA, and Andy (Patricia) Rump of Krumsville, PA; grandchildren, Samantha, Leif, Ashley, Austin, Casey, and Nicolas; great-grandchildren, Aubrie, Isla, Emme, Skyla, Quintin, Harmony, Gage, Autumn, and Lillie. She was predeceased by two brothers, David W. Rump, Sr. and John D. Rump. Barbara's funeral service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 11 AM in the Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway New Tripoli, PA. Calling hour to begin at 10 AM. Pastor Heidi Lundquist will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help off-set her final expenses.
