Bobby Deck Obituary
Bobby W. Deck, 88, of Palmer Township, died Jan. 4, 2009. A 1939 graduate of Easton High School, he was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a meat cutter for Food Fair and Cathers Market for more than 20 years, and worked for the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission before retiring from the Easton School District as a custodian at Wolf and Paxinosa schools. He enjoyed working in the yard and golfing. He was a 50-year member of Trinity Episcopla Church, Easton, where he served on the vestry. He was a life member of Dallas/Lafayette Lodge, F. & A.M., and a former member of Easton Forest, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, AARP and the Ambassadors Club. Survivors: Wife of 58 years, the former Phoebe Bastka; daughter, Sheila Folsom of Bethlehem Township; stepson, Frank Yost of Shoemakersville; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday in the church, 234 Spring Garden St., Easton. Call 1:30-2 p.m. in the church. Arrangements, Ashton Funeral Home, Easton. Contributions: To the church.

Dear Mrs Deck, I was sorry to read of Mr Deck's passing today. I think of you both every Christmas as I display all my wonderful Christmas mice that you so thoughtfully gave my kids. They're all grown up now, but the mouse village goes up each Christmas and stays up all winter.
It was a priviledge to be Mr Deck's doctor for awhile. He was always a bright spot on my schedule. He was a genuinely "nice guy."
