SURVIVORS: In addition to his wife of 49 years; children: Chad E. Merkel of Palmer Twp., Leanne M. (Eric D.) Dimler of North Whitehall Twp.; brothers: Wayne (Bette) of Whitehall, George, Jr. (Ann) of Willow Grove; grandsons: Owen & Josh Dimler; nieces: Carrie & Erin Merkel.
SERVICE: Family and friends are invited to call 12 - 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street – Hellertown followed by the service at 1:00 p.m. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at: www.heintzelmancares.com.

Dear Charlene and Family...So very sorry to see that Bruce passed. I last saw him awhile back at Dr. Baker's. I often talk to Laurie about the fun We all had on Allstate trips. Miss you. May God give you Peace.

The Whitehall HS Class of 1966 fondly remembers and mourns the loss of our dear classmate Bruce. We extend our sincere condolences to Charlene, children, brother Wayne and the entire Merkel family at this sad time. We were privileged to have him join us at our last mini class reunion in June of this year.
