Catherine Bresnak Obituary

Catherine "Katy" (Tocci) Bresnak, 81, of Bethlehem, passed away on August 29, 2022 after suffering from a long illness. She was surrounded by her family.

Katy was born in Bethlehem on January 17, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Margaret (Kervin) Tocci.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was everything to her. Sundays were always reserved for sitting at the dining room table for spaghetti dinner. We would often see her dancing with her husband when they thought no one was watching. They loved to jitterbug. They enjoyed going out for breakfast and an occasional trip to the casino.

She was predeceased by her sisters Lucy and Eleanor, and brothers Sal and Richard. She is survived by her sister Nancy. Katy is also survived by her husband James of 61 years, children Kelly (Lynn) Kimock, James M (Jennifer) Bresnak, Michael (Patty) Bresnak, Kimberly (Keith) Foley. She had 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

At Katy's request there will be no funeral or memorial service.

Uncle Jimmy, Kelly, Kim, Michael and Jimmy I am saddened to hear about Aunt Katy, even though I have not seen her in years I often thought about Aunt Katy and Uncle Jimmy. My husband Jim would occasionally run into them at Carl's Corner and he always came home and told me he enjoyed talking with the both of them. I know what it is like to lose a mother and a husband, Jim passed away May 2021, if any of you need something or just need to talk give me a call. In my experience time will help heal your broken hearts and you will start remembering all the good times and they will make you smile and laugh again. Aunt Katy will never be forgotten, she will always be in your hearts.
Love, Rita (Chickey) Neustadter

Mr. Bresnak, Kelly & Family -
So sorry to read of Mrs. Bresnak´s passing. It´s been a long time since I´ve seen all of you, but I have nice memories of our chats when I´d visit for insurance reviews. Wishing you peace and blessings during this difficult time.

Used to talk to you at the wrestling matches, when your sons wrestled and was impressed about your knowledge of the sport! R.I.P.
