Charles Konkolics
Charles S. Konkolics, 88, of Bethlehem, died Saturday, October 3, 2009, in his home. His wife of 63 years, Rose (Temos) Konkolics, died on September 19, 2009. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Joseph Sr. and Mary (Zalebich) Konkolics. He was employed by Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 43 years before retiring as a foreman in 1983. Charles was a member of the University Parish of Holy Ghost, Bethlehem. Survivors: Surviving are daughters, Cheryl A. Quigley and her husband, Raymond, of St. Augustine, Fla. and Judith K. Rickey and her husband, Frederick, of Macungie; granddaughters, Megan C. Quigley and her partner, Todd Robinson and Kimberly A. Gimbel and her husband, Mark; great-granddaughters, Samantha and Shay Gimbel. Services: Mass of Christian Burial, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the University Parish of Holy Ghost. Family and friends are invited to call 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the church. Arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem. Contributions: In Charles name may be sent to the University Parish of Holy Ghost, 417 Carlton Avenue, Bethlehem, PA 18015, or the V.N.A. of St. Lukes Hospice, 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Bethlehem, PA 18017.

although i am suffering from the loss of my own husband, i needed to write this today after reading about charlie in the paper, as you know "ROSIE" was one of my very special residents-i just loved her!!! now that charlie has passed-they are both in heaven still sharing their life together-judy and cheryl,they must have been wonderful parents-i took some of my husbands flowers over to the cemetary to put on some family members gravesites and just happen to come upon "ROSIE",i placed some flowers on her grave-just thinking of both of you with sincere thoughts and prayers-laura partridge
