I apologize for the delayed response. I was thinking about Charlie today and decided to look him up on the internet and sadly read about his passing. I served as the Manager of Fair Employment Practices for Sprint and Charlie was the VP Labor/Employee Relations. He served a critical role in initiating the corporate diversity program for Sprint. His enthusiasm/leadership was infectious. I considered Charlie a friend/mentor. My sincere condolence/prayers go out to his family for his passing.
God Bless,

Joy, Diana and I are watching the Chiefs play Houston. It made us think of our days together at Chiefs games, going to Superbowls, and fun in KC. I decided to google Charlie to see where you all might be. I certainly did not expect to find this sad news. We are so sorry for your loss in Charlie's passing. What a great guy, friend, Chiefs partner, and colleague. We hope you and your family are well. Our best thoughts to you all!

Oh my gosh, Charlie, so sorry to see you go at such a young age. We weren't close buddies, just long time acquaintances whose parents were the best of friends. Never mind about that, Charlie, I still dropped a bunch of tears when I got the news. So sorry to see you go. A good, decent, family man who is now sorely missed. I am certain that you are sitting at the right hand God.
My sincere condolences to your family, your wife, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. And my condolences, especially, to your sister, Sally.

Dear Joy and family,
I was surprised and saddened to learn of Charlie's passing. He was one of the most thoughtful, caring and personable men I have ever worked for at PPL. His family was very important to him and I am sure you all miss him greatly. May the memories you keep fill the hole in your hearts that his absence brings. May God wrap his arms around each of you and give you his peace and comfort in this most difficult time.

A larger than life character. Will never forget his animated reactions to the slightest development, especially on the golf course. Our UD golf team days were a non-stop adventure with Charlie winning nearly every match he played. Deepest sympathies to Joy and the entire Pinto family.

Dear Pinto Family - suchsad news to learn of Charlie's passing. I was an Assistant Principal at Newark High School when I met Charlie (name was Scheers). Charlie was one of the most generous and kind man that I have ever met. He gave so much of himself to others, especially the student athletes. When Charlie came rushing in to whatever event, everyone was so glad to see him. My husband and I had the opportunity to visit Las Vegas when Charlie was working for Park Place Entertainment. He took us to dinner at Caesar's. The next day, he.gave us a tour of the city of Las Vegas and not the strip which also included a stop at his home. We had so much fun with him. We will never forget Charlie. We will hold all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
