Eric and Bonnie - When we bought our first house next door to Flo and Charles, they made us feel so welcome. They watched our children grow up, and we thought of them as an "extra pair" of grandparents... They will both be greatly missed and fondly remembered...

Bonnie and Eric - Growing up next door to "Florence and Charles" Shoemaker just seemed so natural. It was a simpler time and your dad was a wonderful neighbor and a friend we could always count on. Our family has the fondest memories of your dad. When neighbors were more than just folks who "lived next door". I loved them as much as my own mom and dad. I know I speak for my dad Bob and my brother Bob by saying that we are grateful for the care and humor that Charles brought to our neighborhood. We shall miss him, but he is in a much, much better place. His dedication to his church, his spiritual belief and his neighborhood is what made America great. Our love to you and your family and our prayers for Charles. Kenny, Bob and Bob Young.

I and my family want to express our sincere sympathy to the family of Charles, I can tell you he was a very special person to me in my life and I learned many things from him during the time I spent working with him at the Council of Churches in Bethlehem. He was someone you could trust and someone who cared about so many things. I will miss him. Pamela Faust and Family
