Charles H. Webster III
Charles H. Webster III, 82, of Catasauqua, formerly of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, November 29 in Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Allentown. Born in Allentown, Charles was the son of the late Charles Jr. and Bessie Mae (George) Webster. He was the husband of Althea A. (David) Webster, who died in 1988. Charles worked for the city of Allentown in the water department as an inspector of reservoirs for 38 years. He was also a bartender part time for the F & S Tavern, Allentown, and for the former Andys Tavern for 20 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors: Sons, Terry C. and his wife, Sherry, of Nazareth and David B. Sprigle and his wife, Charlotte, of Allentown; daughter, Bonnie L. Freyman and her husband, Steven, with whom he resided; brothers, Jack of Palmerton, Kenneth of Allentown, Ronald of Richlandtown, David of Bangor, Maine; sisters, Jill Gardo of Palmerton, LaRue Sampson, Gloria Nolan and Shirley Miller, all of Allentown; grandchildren, Steven Jr. and Meagan Freyman, with whom he also resided, Michael and Scott Sprigle, Tara and Lloyd; a great-granddaughter. Also longtime companions, Scoby and Frago. Services: graveside, 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 2 in St. Marks Cemetery, Front and Lexington streets, Allentown. The Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith will be officiating. There are no calling hours. K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Allentown, is in charge of arrangements.

Bonnie,Terry&Dave -I am very sorry to hear about the passing of your dad.I just heard about it and am sorry I missed the funeral.I will allways remember the good times with the Websters on Elliger St.,The Eric& Wildwood.

My name is Pete..I tryed to make the services but got lost..I drove 45mi. one way to be there, and missed it..Me and Chubby would take turns buying coffee at the Punkin Miller games...Chubby became close friends with me and my wife Jan..He always sat with us at the Limeport games...A really nice guy...We will miss him ..
