Claire Snyder Obituary
Born in Allentown, Claire was the daughter of Thomas F. White and Ruth R. Weaver and the stepdaughter of Ralph P. Mattern. A 1945 graduate of Allentown High School, she had a 38-year secretarial career and retired from Lehigh Portland Cement Company in 1993.
She is survived by her daughter Susan J. Snyder of Williamstown, MA and New York City and her grandson Galen F. Stump of New York City.
She was predeceased by her son Henry L. Snyder, Jr. and by her longtime companion Andrew G. Fallat, who got her to see the world beyond Allentown.
Claire's life was enriched by her love for many adopted rescue pet dogs and cats over the years. Contributions to The Sanctuary at Haafsville, PO Box 921, Fogelsville, PA 18051(thesanctuarypa.org) or to LehighCountyHumane Society.org are welcome.

We were fortunate to have had the pleasure of having Claire as a neighbor these last 3 years. She often expressed thankfulnes for flowers, trees, dogs good weather, her home and the neighborhood she lived in. We will miss seeing her go walks on our street.

Claire was our next-door neighbor and friend on Elm Court for over 5o years! She had several cats and dogs over the years that were special! One dog that she always talked about with us was her Boston terrier from her younger years! Every time Claire would see us walking our Boston terriers Tabitha and Oreo, she would tell us about her beloved Boston. Claire will always be in our hearts, and in our neighborhood, especially when we are walking our dogs.

I´m so sorry to hear about Claire. As a kid/teen/young adult, she and Andy would visit our family in the summer, usually with a dog. The one I remember most was Skipper -she would take such good care of him. She was such a kind person. I have very fond memories of her.

Sorry to hear of Clair's passing. We were classmates in the 8th grade of Mr.Stewart in Jefferson School and part of the class of of 1945 ALLENTOWN HIGH SCHOOL.
