Clayton Stauffer Obituary
Clayton G. Stauffer, Sr., 90, passed away Good Friday in Mosser Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Gladys A. S. (Schierer) Stauffer and the late Edith H. (Eberhart) Moyer Stauffer. Born in Lower Macungie, he was a son of the late Henry P. and Mary A. (Eisenhard) Stauffer. He was employed by PennDOT for 25 years, retiring in 1983. He held memberships in Wescosville, Trexlertown and Alburtis Fire Companies. His favorite enjoyment was spending time at Alburtis Park. Survivors: Surviving are sons, Clayton, Jr. and his wife, Deb, and Wayne and his wife Kris, daughter Aliceann, wife of Mark Gogel; brother, Stanley Stauffer; sister, Arlene Elsenbaumer; five grandchildren (one deceased) and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased sisters, Annie Cook, Edna Isamoyer, and Mae DeLong, and by brothers, Oscar, Elmer, Paul, and Kenneth Stauffer. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville. I fondly remember Clayton when I would visit with my grandma when she was at Willow Lane - what a character! He certainly gave us lots of smiles, and I'll bet he's already shaking up heaven. I will cherish his jokes, his poking fun at mine, serenading us, and the stories he shared about Alburtis Park and dancing. My thoughts and prayers are with Clayton's family.
*Though the voice is quiet, the spirit echoes still*

Aliceann and Family - My sympathy on Clayton's passing. I have fond memories of him at Willow Lane. You could always count on him for a song. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
