Corliss Frisch Obituary

Corliss E. (Corky) Frisch, 61, of Northampton, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Lehigh Valley Hospital after a three year struggle with breast cancer. Corky was the wife of Stephen M. Frisch and they would have celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on June 28. Born April 23, 1955 in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Marie (Holian) Griesemer. Corky was a 1973 graduate of Northampton High School. She was a member of Queenship of Mary Church. Corky was employed by Cutler Hammer, Gilboy Ford and the Cement National Bank of Fullerton, but she did not find her professional niche until she began to work at PP&L. Corky took great pride in her accomplishments at PP&L as she moved up the managerial ladder. She retired in March as a financial specialist after 36 years of employment. Her main goal in life was devotion to family and friends who will miss her dearly. Survivors: her husband, Stephen, sons, Stephen Michael Frisch III and John Michael Frisch, both of Northampton; sisters, Dianne, wife of Richard Missmer of Whitehall and Jeanette, wife of Alfred Hammel of Glens Falls, NY; sister-in-law, Lucille, wife of Greg Sommers of Allen Township; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and canine companion, Zoe. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call Wednesday 6 - 8:00 p.m. and Thursday 9:15 -10:15 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Burial will follow in the Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery. Online condolences may be submitted to www.reichelfuneralhome.com. Contributions: Memorials may be presented to the Susan G. Komen Foundation c/o funeral home.

To the Frisch family I send my sincere condolences on your loss. What a wonderful person Corliss was. Her kindness touched everyone around her. Coming from a fellow PPL employee, I can tell you that she was highly respected and very well liked throughout the company. As our retired CFO remarked when I told him of Corliss' passing, "we should have had more PPLers like her."

God bless you Corky...you will be sorely missed.
