Daniel Dunstan Obituary
Daniel C. Dunstan, 53, of Blandon, died at his residence in Blandon on Friday, August 19. He was born in Allentown, a son of Harold C. and Ella R. (Reagan) Dunstan. He was the husband of Joyce E. Bowman Dunstan. They celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary on July 29. He attended Faith Evangelical Free Church, Allentown, received a Black Belt from Boka Karate Academy, Reading, and served in the Air Force. He worked as supervisor of the Mail Center and Chaufffer Service for Air Products & Chemical Inc., Allentown. Survivors: Wife; sons, Adam D., husband of Elizabeth A. (Curry) Dunstan of Reading, Gregory E. Dunstan in the Air Force in Texas, Jonathan D. Smock of State College; daughter, Jennifer L. Smock of Whitehall; half sister, Rita A., wife of Craig Moyer of Allentown; brother, Harold J., husband of Joan Dunstan of Whitehall; sisters, Sharon L., wife of Mike Sheire of Sun City, Ariz., Terry R., wife of Dick Johnson of Greentown; granddaughter, LaTasha L. Bohn(taco). He was preceded in death by his sister, Janice R. Kistler. Services: 3 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2005, Faith Evangelical Free Church, 6528 Hamilton Blvd., Allentown, with Rev. Howard Lawler, Rev. Paul Brownbeck and Rev. Robert Smock officiating. A viewing will be held in the church on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. Arrangements, Stradling Funeral Homes, Akron/Ephrata. We all can rejoice in the fact the Lord gave us the opportunity to know and love Dan during our life. Dan made a difference in the lives of those he touched. He created friends among strangers. Dear Aunt Joyce, Jon, Jen, and family,
Although I only met Dan once, several years back, I do know what an incredibly positive impact he had on my sweet cousins! I am so proud of Jon and Jen both and I know that Dan had a lot to do with that. I love all of you so much, and while I hate to see you hurt I know God will carry you through. That doesn't make the grieving any easier but the Lord blessed us to give us the time we got with Dan. I love you,

My deepest sympathy to the Dunstan family. I only new Dan for about a year. I would see him often when I made my deliveries to the mailroom. He was always very nice to me. He worked with a lot of very nice people and it is comforting to know that a lot of people really cared for him.

Dear Joyce and family,
I knew Dan only a short time on a professional level. I quickly realized what a gem of person he was. My life is richer for knowing him. His smile, wit, and humor was so genuine. He possessed a rare quality and anyone would have been lucky to know him on any level. I am so sorry you had to loose him at such a young age. Please take comfort in the fact that he made a great deal of people very happy.

My sympathies to Dan's entire fammily. I grew up with him in the old neighborhood in Allentown. He always had a happy, joking outlook about everthing. Always joking and laughing and having fun no matter what we did. Some of the fondest memories of my youth include Dan and the two other friends we had in the old neighborhood. I will miss him terribly.

Losing Dan is such a huge loss to many. He was so pleasant and happy and infected others that same way. He was the consummate good guy. Everyone was glad to know him and/or work with him for his years at APCI. It is so sad that he had to leave his family and friends so soon. My sympathies.

I love Dan. He always knew how to guide me though tought times with his strong words of wisdom. It seemed like he always knew what I was going throught at the time. He was a great guy. He was a great role model for me, he knew when to have fun, he knew when to be serious. I love Dan, and for always. I feel simpanthy for those closer to him then I was. Dan was awesome, I can never picture a dull or unfun moment in Dans presents. He'd always put a smile on my face. Dan...... Love You Forever..... Miss you...... Wish You Were Here. I really enjoyed the times I've spent with you and your family and they will never be forgotten. You had a very positive effect on my life and it will be there forever. Joyce,
Sabrina Wetzel(Terry husband)is our daughter and we got to be in Dan's company and yours on occasion, at Wetzel's home. We also remember Dan as having such a pleasant smile for everyone and just a nice person to be around.

I did not know Dan as well as some, only for a short while. I used to work in the Air Products mail room many years ago. Dan was so much fun, and so helpful, a great person.

Joyce, Adam, Greg, and family ... We extend our sympathy to you all. I had the pleasure of knowing Dan for my entire 27 years at APCI. He always seemed to be wearing that same smile as in this photo and this is how he will always be thought of. Always joking - he pulled his first prank on me my first week at APCI. I had my father do this for me do to I'm serving in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. My sympathy goes out to your family and all his friends.
