Daniel Gurovich Obituary
He studied for the priesthood at Borromeo Seminary in Cleveland, OH and SS. Cyril & Methodius Seminary in Pittsburgh, PA. He was ordained to the priesthood by Most Reverend Emil Mihalik in Parma, OH on May 12, 1974. He served in various parish assignments in Cleveland, Detroit and California.
In November 1986 he was appointed Pastor of St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church in Bethlehem and remained until recently. His various positions in the Archeparchy of Philadelphia were serving on the Administrative Council; Notary and Secretary of the Archeparchy's Tribunal; and Judge of the Tribunal from 1987 until 2018.
Known for his kindness towards his parishioners, Fr. Gurovich was also an aficionado of analog recordings and his collection of records and various playing media of music.
Funeral arrangements are planned for Tuesday, March 8 at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church (1826 Kenmore Ave., Bethlehem, PA 18018) with viewing from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM and Priest Parastas beginning at 11:00 AM served by Most Reverend Borys Gudziak, Metropolitan-Archbishop of Philadelphia. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. May his memory be eternal!
Memorial Contributions may be made in Father Daniel's name to St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church.

Fr. Dan (Spanky) was a beautiful person. He was not only a pastor but a brother, mentor and friend. I've know him for over 30 years since moving here to PA. He will be greatly missed. Eternal memory Fr. Dan.

Father Dan was a superb mentor, pastor, priest, and human being. I had the great blessing of knowing him for thirty years, and he brought me into the Ukrainian Catholic Church. May his memory now be eternal!
