To the Koren Family: I was very shocked to hear the announcement in church of Dan's passing. I would like to extend my deepest condolences to all of you during this very difficult and sorrowful time. I would like to share with you my last memory of Dan. My sump pump in the basement had sprung a leak and I placed a service call. When I opened the front door, there came Dan with his big plastic bucket of tools. I noticed his clothing was pretty dirty. I said " Dan, it looks like you've been working and he said " No, I just wear the same clothing so it looks like I'm working." We discussed so many different topics while he was there and realized that we were both from the "old school" raised with the same family values and work ethics. Dan will be missed by many, but will live on in our memories. Peace be with you. Sincerely, Carolyn George

To the Koren Family: It was a shock to hear the announcement in church of Dan's passing. I extend my deepest condolences to all of you. I would like to share my last memory of Dan with you. My sump pump had sprung a leak and I placed a service call. It was on a Sat that Dan himself came walking towards my front door, I noticed that his clothing were pretty dirty. When I said "Dan, it looks like you've been working." He replied, "No, I just keep wearing the same clothes so people think I've been working!"
As we talked about various topics, we found we were from the same "old School"..raised with the same values. He was the nicest, kindest, humorous and honest plumber in our local community. He will be truly missed by many, but will live on in our memories.
Sincerely, Carolyn George

To the Koren family - we only just heard about Dan's passing and wanted to be sure to send our heartfelt condolences and the promise of our prayers. May the passing of time lift your sorrow and leave you with the comfort of many happy memories.

Dan's warm and friendly nature made us feel less like customers and more like friends and we feel fortunate to have come to know him. To us this quote has Dan written all over it: "I hope I shall possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man." ~ George Washington

Dear Ann, Kristofer, Megan, and families,
I am still in shock to hear of Dan's passing. My heart goes out to all of you, and I will keep you close in thought and prayers in the days ahead. It has been many, many years since I first met the Koren family back at Schnecksville Elementary School when Kristofer was in first grade. Dan was such a fabulous father, and then I came to know him as a fabulous grandfather when I had the boys at Ironton. It truly is so hard to imagine your family without him by your side. Of course, along with everyone else in Schnecksville, I also knew him as my plumber. He was personable and professional, and it was always a pleasure to to talk with him and catch up on Kris and Megan's lives as they grew. Sending my love to all, with extra big hugs for the Jakob and Justin. I am so, so sorry!

To Dan's entire family, I want to extend my deepest and most sincere sympathy. I've known Dan for over 25 years, and I've never seen him without a smile on his face. He and my husband Jeff were the same age, and such good friends, they really enjoyed each other's company.

I was so saddened to hear of Dan's passing. I will always have fond memories of him & his family. Dan was always so gracious about everything he did & so fun to be around. As a Disc Jockey I would always look forward to a "Koren Event". As I'm sure many of those writing here can attest, you were always guaranteed a great time with the Koren family in attendance...
I will NEVER forget you Dan!!!

God must have needed the best plumber on earth so he called Danny home. Mom, Dad and Lester are probably wondering why he is there so soon. I will always remember our times hunting and fishing together. The best big brother a guy could ever have. You will always be in my heart. Deepest sympathy to Ann and the rest of the Family, I know how you all feel.
