David, Durell, Diane and all the kids - my deepest sympathy. He was a great man with a tremendous "presense". I remember the days at Terry Hill with the guiney pigs. And all the family reunions at the pavillion. All good memories - all good times. Embrace your faith at this time, because you will miss him imensely, but remember, he will now ALWAYS be with you. Just watch for the signs he'll give you to let you know he's there.

Durell,Diane,
My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to the both of you in the loss of your father,"Mickey'. I'll remember him always as a man with a great personality and a huge heart. We were neighbors, the rainbow room and sunshine biscuits. All of us who worked over at sunshine will always remember how he would allow us to come over and have a hot meal for lunch while we were on break. Mickey always had the biggest smile on his face,no matter when you would see him. Mickey is up in heaven right now singing and entertaining and wearing his island shirts. Jim,from sunshine

To the Schellhamer and Dennis Families:

Please accept my deepest sympathies for the passing of Mickey. He was a wonderful man who loved to entertain. One could say he lived the life only few can say they have experienced and many wish for themselves. I, myself, will hold a special place for Mickey, Kitty, and all of you. I will never forget the many times as a child that I spent at the Rainbow Room watching my family play bingo and enjoying the luaus and other special events that took place. More so, I will always remember our trip to Hawaii with my grandparents, Teddy & Edna Morgan. Those are times I will hold dear to my heart. The Shellhamers have touched so many lives throughout the years and I for one, am grateful.

May God Bless you and be with you.

I was sorry to hear of the loss of Micky. I spent alot of my childhood at the rainbow room on bingo nights with family. My grandfather was a friend of his and no matter how much I could ever try, I can never forget those shirts they both wore! The times he put me on stage to start everyone singing. He got a laugh at how I would climb under the tables picking up the different chips people would drop. I still have a good collection!

January 15, 2008

Please accept my most heartfelt condolences. Micky was a great next-door neighbor and I'll miss seeing him riding around in his golf cart, stopping by for a quick chat, his wonderful tomotoes, and watching him and my partner meeting up on their lawn tractors. I loved seeing the toy soldiers from the old Hess' up in front of the house at Christmas - it took me right back to my childhood! Micky obviously had great zeal for life, and was well-loved far and wide. I wish all his family and loved ones peace, good memories, and the knowledge that you'll see him again one day.

Most sincerely,

Kris Wich (10445 Schantz Road)

I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I met Mickey Shellhamer
through my Aunt Diane and Uncle Jimmys marriage in the late 1950s. I always looked up to Mickey as a very friendly and successful man ahead of his time.
Over the years I also had the privilege of playing in a band at the Royal Palms night club and the Rainbow Room. Weather it would be Summer or Winter Mickey could always put on a great party. Mickey was type of guy everyone could like, he will be greatly missed.

Mickey, Thanks for the Memories.

We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family. There is a special place in our hearts for Mickey. Last June, when we started taking donations to repair the stage at Alburtis Park, he was the first one to step up to the plate with a donation. He loved the song "Crazy" and the next time we do it his life will be celebrated.
May he rest in peace.

Dear Shellhamer Family,

I was so saddened to see that Mr. Shellhamer had passed away. What a wonderful man he was with a beautiful heart! I lived in the Terry Hill Trailer Park with my 1st husband and my newborn son from 1978 until 1983. The special memory I have of him was the one year when my husband lost his job at Caloric and the unemployment ran out. Even though I was working full time at Air Products, Mr. Shellhamer saw us struggling. It was Christmas time, and Mr. Shellhamer gave my husband $350 to buy gifts, and told him that everyone deserves to have a good Christmas. I couldn't believe it! That a stranger could care this much for us. His kindness and generosity touched my heart forever. Even though he is no longer here physically, he is a beautiful soul and will be with us forever.
