David Koch Obituary

David Koch, 74, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 after a noble battle against Leukemia. He was born June 2, 1938 in Bethlehem; son of the late Frank and Mildred (Pearson) Koch. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Rosemarie T. (Kirka) Koch.David retired from the City of Bethlehem after 27 years of service at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. He was a member of the Grover Cleveland Democratic Assoc. Survivors: He will be dearly missed by his daughters, Beverly Phillips of Allentown; Deborah wife of Carl Blank of Freemansburg; sons, David Koch, Jr. of Macungie and Brian Koch of Bethlehem; a sister, Mary Jane and brothers, Edward, Frank, Earl, Richard, Norman and Charles; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. David was predeceased by his sisters, Henrietta Sipos and Dorothy Kostic and his brothers, Donald, Robert and William. Services: A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, December 10, 2012 at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a ceremony to follow at 11. Burial will be held at the Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Contributions: Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 3893 Adler Pl. Suite 170 Bethlehem, PA 18017. As a kid Mr.Koch was the friendliest,funniest,most caring man back in the days of Parkridge.I've never forgotten him after my family moved to Allentown.A little of Mr.Koch still lives in me today.Continue to rest in piece sir.And to the siblings,call me anytime.It would be good to hear from u.Those were some special times back then,Gene.720-341-4086.

To the entire Koch family, my sincere condolences. I remember being his "long lost daughter" during a family reunion as we seemed to have the same size nose and no one ever let us forget that!! The memories the fond memories live on.

My heartfelt condolences go out to the Koch family,and friends.I remember Mr.Koch in my early yrs as a little child.He was full of humor,wisdom,and that blue collar attitude.He taught me my 1st words of a sailor.He was a good man with a great family.I'll miss seeing him on Spruce St.,and i'll always remember him from those days so long ago.R.I.P.Mr.Koch.Deb know that yur Pops is now again with the love of his life enjoying eteral life.Yur father gave love to a lot of people,he'll never be forgotten.

My heartfelt sympathy to the entire Koch family. It may have been years since I have seen you but you all have been in my thoughts so many times in the past years. May you find peace in knowing that your Father has now join his wife in heaven along with Henry and they are having one heck of a reunion!! Your many memories of him will keep you strong thru this difficult time. I will never forget the support that Dave Jr. gave me during my sad time.
