Survivors: In addition to her husband, Tim; son, Matthew S. Howells (Alyssa) and Megan M. Cope (James) both of Slatington; sisters, Theresa Check (Dennis) of Breinigsville, Katherine Fetter (Dennis) of Treichlers, Christine Marth (John) and Rosemary Wertz (Jake) both of Coplay; grandchildren, Cole, Lily, Emma and Brynnlee.
Service: Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm. Sunday, July 11, 2021 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 1:30 pm. – 3:00 pm. Sunday in the funeral home. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MSA Coalition c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box # 196, Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196.

I was extremely lucky to spent many a day at the Koren residence growing up in Coplay. As a friend/classmate of Kathy somehow they made you feel pretty quickly like you were part of the family. We had great times swimming by day & sleeping under the stars by night. And good food was always involved. Wonderful memories & lots of laughter.

Tim, Megan, Matt, and families-
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Debbie. Although it has been a long time, I have only pleasant memories of her and can still hear the sound of her laugh. From pre- school play dates with the kids, to the many cheering events, to chatting at church, she was always a kind and friendly soul.
