Donna Smith Obituary

Donna Marie Smith was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She returned to her family in heaven at age 63, to her late husband, Stephen L. Smith, her late parents, Stephen J. and Dorothy Kantor, as well as her late brother, Greg Kantor, Sr.. Donna passed away on Sunday, August 8, surrounded by loved ones at Cedar Crest Hospital where she previously worked as a support partner. She loved playing games with her family, watching movies, helping others as an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints and could out shop anyone. She loved dogs, as shown in her email [email protected]. We welcome anyone to send emails with memories. She was very proud of her three sons' service in the military. Her greatest joy was spending time and making memories with her nine grandchildren.

Donna is survived by five children and their significant others, Tyler and Madonna Smith, Ryan and Kaely Smith, Amanda and Charles Hare, Scott Smith, Stacey Smith and Christopher Tomac; two brothers, Stephen Kantor, Gary Kantor and fiancé Lisa Morano; two sisters-in-law, Judy Kantor and Lynette Harrison; five granddaughters, Mackenzie Fetsurka, Annabelle Smith, Ashley Smith, Lorali Smith and Everly Hare; and four grandsons, Kyle Smith, Mason Fetsurka, Cameron Hare and Chase Hare.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 12, at 1:00 p.m. in the LDS Church, 1881 Van Buren Drive, Whitehall, PA 18052, followed by a grave dedication in Union Cemetery, Hellertown. Arrangements, Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to The Center for Animal Health and Welfare, 1165 Island Park Road, Easton, PA 18042. Hi Miss Donna so much, she was a dear friend and we kept in close contact on the phone. I often wonder how her family is doing now as she kept me up-to-date on their goings-on. I hope they are doing well. Miss you, Donna, love, Diana Forster

Donna and I were once in a lifetime friends. She would do anything to help me and I hope I returned the favor, too. We had the most fun helping each other with craft projects. Turkeys made from cookies and candies, pinewood derby cars out of candy, cookie trains and so much more!! Another thing we liked to do was watch the weekly ER episode together, sometimes at her house and sometimes at mine. It was a time to vent about our lives, as well. Donna had such a big heart!

Donna is very special to me and I want her family to know what a wonderful mother they had. We were very good friends when you lived in California.
