Dorothy M. "Dot" Smith

96 years of age and lifelong resident of Fullerton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning February 6, 2019, while a guest at Fellowship Manor. She was the wife of Douglas H. Smith for over 35 years at the time of his passing in 1990. Born in Fullerton to the late John P. and Mary R. (Snyder) Ritter,she was a 1939 graduate of Whitehall High School, and worked in the cafeterias of the Whitehall-Coplay School District for many years until retiring.She was a member of Saint John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Whitehall.Dot enjoyed watching the Phillies, 76ers and all Whitehall sports.She is survived by daughters Cathy J. Smith of Whitehall, and Linda L. Dalsimer of Towson, MD; grandchildren Lisa Yamakawa and husband James, Kevin Dalsimer and wife Lisa, Curtis Dalsimer and wife Kristal; great grandchildren Sarah, Jonathan, Rebecca, Dylan, Maurine, David, Robert, Gwen, and Nora; predeceased by sisters Eleanor Bonner & Jane Franklin, and brother John Ritter.Services will be 11:00 am Saturday February 16, 2019 in the Gilbert Funeral Home, 444 Pershing Blvd Whitehall, PA 18052, with Rev. Martha S. Sipe officiating, where her viewing will begin at 10:00 am.
