Elmer Ruppert

Elmer C. "Charlie" Ruppert, 90, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Moravian Village Nursing Center. He was the husband of the late Helen (Sayuk) Ruppert, who died in 2013. Born in Tamaqua, Charlie was the son of the late Elmer and Helen Rupert. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII, and then became a machinist for Boise Cascade Corp. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Survivors: daughter Donna Reilly and her husband Jerry of Bath; sister Jean Welker; grandchildren Bridget Rupp and her husband Louis, Michelle Hernandez and her husband Tony, Brittany Emery and her husband John; great-granddaughters Laylah and Emily. Charlie was predeceased by his son, Larry Ruppert in 2012. Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 10, in the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem, 18018, where friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of services.
