Eugene Smith Obituary
Gene was a 1966 graduate of Liberty High School before enlisting in the United States Air Force where he served honorably with the 6214th Pacific Air Command at Tainan Air Base in Taiwan ROC. He enjoyed working with a bunch of great guys at Apollo Metals in Bethlehem for 45 years. He was a life member at the Heights AA. Gene loved traveling with his wife, Rose, especially to the Caribbean and being around family, friends and their dogs, Aggie and Maggie.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Christine Charboneau and her husband, Jay and grandchildren, Hunter and Tanner Smith and Lauren and Logan Charboneau.
A viewing will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will be held at Bethlehem Memorial Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Animal Health and Wellness, 1165 Island Park Rd. Easton, PA 18042

I worked w/ Gene at Apollo Metals, he was always fun to work with and was always a pleasant guy to be around. I am really sorry about his passing but was glad to know him on my journey RIP
