Floyd A. Junior Ott, 84, of Lower Mount Bethel Township, died Sunday, October 10, 2004 in St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born July 14, 1920, in Upper Mount Bethel Township, he was a son of the late Floyd A. and Ada (Fisher) Ott Sr. His wife, the former Ethel M. Hess, died in 1996. He was co-owner and operator, with his late son Barry, of Otts Own Farm, Lower Mount Bethel Township. In 1975, they were the winners of the Forage and Grass Award.He was an avid hunter, fisherman and baseball fan. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Stone Church, where he was a member of the adult Sunday school class, and a member and former president of the consistory. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, the Northampton and Monroe County Farm Bureau, the Northampton County Soil Conservation, the Holstein Association of Northampton County, the Northampton County DHIA (Dairy Herd Improvement Association). He was a former member of the Dairymens League co-op, a former Bangor Area school board member and a former member of the Blue Mountain Rod and Gun Club. Survivors: Daughters, Sharon M. Shook, wife of Nelson, of Johnsonville, Elaine F. Mest, wife of John, of Richmond,; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Son, Barry F. Ott, brothers, Elton, Delbert, Earl, and Ralph Ott, and sister, Esther Ott, all died earlier. Services: 1 p.m. Thursday, Trinity United Church of Christ, 632 S. Delaware Drive, Mount Bethel. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Reed/Gaffney Funeral Home Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, Village of Johnsonville, Bangor. Burial will be in Reformed Cemetery, Upper Mount Bethel Township. Contributions: May be made to Trinity United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, 632 S. Delaware Drive, Mount Bethel 18343.
