Frances Bauer Obituary

Frances S. Bauer
Frances S. (Mallon) Bauer, 86, widow of Lester J. Bauer, of Geryville Pike, Pennsburg, died April 4, 2005, at home. She was a daughter of the late Daniel and Catherine (Sinnott) Mallon. She was a seamstress for the former Pennsburg Clothing Company and the former Daut Manufacturing Company, Red Hill. During World War II, she tested aircraft engines for the former Jacobs Aircraft, Pottstown. She was a longtime member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg, where she was a member of the former Altar & Rosary Society and an active volunteer for the church and school. She was a former Cub Scouts Den Mother. Survivors: Sons, Anthony J., husband of Noreen Bauer of East Greenville, Robert D., husband of Connie Bauer of Sewell, N.J.; daughter, Mary, wife of Craig Schuster of East Greenville; daughter-in-law, Connie, widow of Gerald D. Bauer of Pennsburg; sister, Eileen, wife of John Engle of East Greenville; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, including devoted niece Jeannine Murphy of East Greenville. She was predeceased by a son, Gerald D. Bauer, an infant son, Ned Bauer, brothers, John, Donald and Robert Mallon, and a sister, Mary Mallon. Services: Mass, 11 a.m. Thursday, St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Rd., Pennsburg, with Rev. John J. Scarcia officiating. Interment is in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, with a Rosary service at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Contributions: St. Philip Neri Building Fund 18073.
