Frank was an inspiration to colleagues as well as to students at Northampton Community College. He share the following prayer with a prayer group there. It speaks to the way he did his work:

I speak Your Peace, Your grace, Your mercy,
and Your perfect order into this office.
I acknowledge Your power over all that
will be spoken, thought, decided and done within these walls.
Lord, I thank You for the gifts You have blessed me with.
I commit to using them responsibly in Your honor.
Give me a fresh supply of strength to do my job.
Anoint my projects, ideas and energy,
so that even my smallest accomplishment
may bring You glory.
Lord, when I am confused, guide me.
When I am weary, energize me. When I am
burned out, infuse me with the light of the Holy Spirit.
May the work that I do and the way I do it bring
faith, joy and a smile to all that I come in
contact with today. And oh Lord,
when I leave this place, give me traveling mercy.
Bless my family and home to be in order as I left it.
Lord, I thank you for everything You've done,
everything you're doing, and everything You're going to do.
In the Name of Jesus I pray, with much love and Thanksgiving.....
Amen.

You were a blessing, Frank Stanton. Rest in peace.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories of you that are the most precious.

To my "Sweetie Dumplin",
I will miss your laughter and your smile, but I will especially miss the way you called me "Babe". I am glad that God gave me the privilege of being your wife these nine years. You will always be the "desire of my heart". I look forward to seeing you again. Rest in Jesus until then.

My deepest condolences to Frank's wife Patricia, son Shawn and the entire Stanton family. Frank was a mentor to me when I graduated from college 32 years ago and that turned into friendship; so much so, I had the honor of DJ'ing his wedding. Much respect and admiration for this man. May you forever RIP!
