George Doran Obituary
The Rev. George E. Doran, 73, of Muncy, died January 23, 2006 in Williamsport Hospital. He and his wife, the former Ruth Vogt, celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on May 10. Born August 15, 1932 in Bethlehem, he was a son of George E. Sr. and Grace (Heinly) Doran. Services: will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Messiah Lutheran Church, 324 S. Howard St., South Williamsport with the Rev. Robert Driesen and Bishop A. Donald Main officiating. Interment will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Main and Academy streets, Hughesville, and from 9-10 a.m. Friday in Messiah Lutheran Church, South Williamsport. Contributions: The family will provide the flowers and suggest that any memorial expressions be made to the E.L.C.A. World Hunger Appeal, c/o Messiah Lutheran Church, 324 S. Howard St., South Williamsport, Pa. 17702. Funeral Services have been entrusted to the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, Hughesville.
