George Feninez Obituary
George Feninez, 88, of Emmaus, died Monday, July 30, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home. Born in Reading on October 13, 1923, he was a son of the late John and Anna (Wellas) Feninez. He was a member of Zions Evangelical Lutheran Church Old Zionsville, PA. He served in the US Air Force in WW II and was a founding member and First Commander of the Macungie V.F.W. and a member of the American Legion in Allentown. Prior to retiring George was employed by Exide Battery Co., and formerly the Macungie Foundry where he worked as a moulder. Survivors: Wife; daughter, Patricia Feninez, of Emmaus; brothers, Frank Feninez, of Allentown, Stephen Feninez, of Hereford. He was preceeded in death by a son, Michael George Feninez. Services: Are private at the convenience of family.

My condolences. I had the pleasure of getting to know George and Patty well while mowing their lawn in the early 2000's. Im saddened by the loss as he was truly a man's man. I admired and listened intently to all of his wartime endeavors and also of his community service to the Emmaus area. Im proud to have known him.

Dear Patty and family, I was sorry to learn of your dad's passing but pleasantly surprised to learn that his birthday was the same as mine - only a few years before. I remember meeting him at community park when you went to see one of the bands on a Sunday night. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
