Although you're up there, I still find part of you down here. We're still finding notes, instructions and diagrams on jobs that you left behind. As a matter of fact, I just sent a picture of one of your diagrams to John, to be used for an upgrade to a job you and I did on 12/29/2011.
A lot of people died and they're forgotten, and then others are never forgotten. You left your mark on a lot of us.

I had known George from working at Martin Tower Bethlehem Steel days and most recently Lehigh U. In Facilities.George will be greatly missed as a friend and an excellent Honeywell tech.He had the drive to keep going on technical problems until they were fully resolved.
And all the while was very personable,he would talk your ear off if you would let him.He is in gods hand now!

Dear Evelyn and family. I was at the florist last week when I learned of the passing away of your beloved husband. He was a very good man and always found him working the front yard to make it even more beautiful then the year before. He was a very kind and pleasant man. I'm been thinking a lot about my dad and all the lessons he taught me. He taught great lessons and had good tips. He taught me how to tie my shoes and ride a bike. Dad's tip: Don't trust your brothers when they tell you to squeeze the left handle bar brake first, unless you want to go flying over the handle bars.
As I got older, life got more complex, so his lessons got more complex. He taught me how to plant a garden and make it grow. When I bought a house, he taught me how to care for and improve a home. Dad's tip: When installing a toilet, always double check and triple check that the water is turned off first.
He also taught me the importance of other people and the value of relationships. Hearing other people's stories and sharing his own was very important to my dad. He taught me that it's a mutually enriching experience. He loved to talk and had the gift of gab. I think he had three stories for every one you had.
He taught me that if I was able to, help other people when they ask. Help them not because you expect something in return, but because it's the right thing to do. Doing the right thing is what makes relationships strong, our community better, and our lives richer.
My dada taught me that relationships are the true riches of this life. See everyone here today shows me just how very rich he was. My father's life was a well lived, rich life, and my hope for everyone here today is that we can live our lives so well by doing the right thing, helping others, being kind to each other, and enjoying the same riches he held so dear.
I love you, Daddy. Thank you for being such an amazing teacher.

To a special man,
George left us much sooner they we planned...going through our family photos I realized he lived a full life for his 65 years.
We spent our first 6 years of marriage traveling. And I'm happy that we ended our time together traveling.
George wanted his children educated which they are, he wanted them to have good jobs and a good life, which they all do.
He wanted to drive cross country, which was a trip he was able to do with his son George in 2012. He bought his Lexus he always wanted which gave him great pleasure.
These are just a few of the things George did and it makes me realize how full of a life we had together. I wish for everyone who reads this to feel the same love I had with George.

Dear Evelyn and family, I was at Mass today when we found out about George! I was so sad to hear of his passing! He was such a kind man and we will always remember the Pitt days with Teesha and Cliff. It will never be the same driving up Mill Rd and not seeing him in his yard! My memories of working with you Evelyn at GVH have always brought a smile. My heart just breaks for you all! You will be in our thoughts and prayers! God Bless you and your family! George, you were such a nice gentleman and a friend. I met you while working at ARCO Chemical when you would come in with Clem. Thanks for all of the stories and laughs. You made a great impression and I am sad to hear of your passing. Your family will remain in my prayers and hopefully someday, we will be reuninted. Condolences to your family.

I miss those phone calls between 6 and 7 am, to find out what we have planned for that day, or to talk about the nut that cut us off in traffic. I will miss the knowledge and experience you share with me each time we work together. Thanks for being a great teacher and friend. If I could sing I would sing you this song:

I was just a high school student when I met the Hogans at Cliff's house, but the few memories I have are warm and positive. If Mr. Hogan's children are any indication of what a good father he was, he was a very good one indeed. My thoughts and prayers are with all the Hogan family in your loss.

I am unable to attend the funeral services for George today. I am an employee of LCCC in Facilities Management and had many enjoyable conversations with George. I could tell that he loved you all dearly and he was so proud of his sons and daughter. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

It's difficult to find the right words to express the loss of Uncle George. Even devastated seems to meek to be accurate. The only comfort I can even seem to find is knowing we all loved him dearly and he will forever be a most beloved member of our family. What is even more difficult is finding words to describe the character of such an amazing man. Words like caring, selfless, kind, sweet, funny, and loving are a start but again just don't seem strong enough. I have many memories of Uncle George but I will share my favorite. The Hogan, McAvoy and Kaupp families were all at grandmom and pop's for one of our many gatherings. I was sitting in a chair in the living room sucking my thumb. I was probably only 7 or 8 years old, too old to still be sucking my thumb but still young enough to be sensitive about it. Uncle George walked past me and said, "Does that taste good?" I being a kid shrugged my shoulders and giggled. He then took my thumb and gave it a try. He looked at me and said, "That doesn't taste good." He then laughed and it was so infectious it made me laugh. Who knows why certain memories stick with you for 30 years but as I became an adult I realized what that story says about Uncle George. He was telling me like all the adults in my life that I was definitely too old to suck my thumb, but he did it in a way that made me laugh, made me feel included and didn't make me embarrassed. The truth is that was his way. I can't remember a time when he wasn't smiling or laughing. The love he had for his family will always be remembered. RIP Uncle George. You will remain forever loved and in our hearts.

Uncle George was a amazing man. He was a great uncle to me I have nothing but fond memories all the vacation our family's spent together the times we went down the shore the trips to big bass lake and the one to Mexico he was so happy on that trip. They were all great memories I'm glade I got to share them with him. He was more then a uncle he was a friend. George always was great to Colleen and my boys. We will miss you with all are hearts. Words can't express how sorry I am for your loss. Over the pass few months I got to see Uncle George at the hospital I work at because he was working there as well. It was always great seeing him and chatting with him. I'm glad we all went to Cancun together for George&Montserrat's wedding it was such a great memory that we can treasure forever.

Dear Sweet Evelyn and your family. I am so sorry for your loss of George. I was so shocked. I pray for strength for you and your family. I remember when we were coming back from Boston and George took us girls to the casino in Conn. I am glad I have that memory of him and us doing that together.
