George and I were classmates and good friends starting in Muhlenberg Elementary School in Allentown, PA. Although we lost touch with one another when I moved to VA and later served in the military also, it doesn't surprise me to learn of George's accomplishments. He was always very bright and had many friends. Thank you for your service to your country, George.

Dear Linda,
We were deeply saddened to hear of George's passing. Please accept our heartfelt sympathies. George and I have been lifelong friends since high school. We shared many interests and values, and we even shared the exact same birthdate. May he rest in eternal peace.

I am very sorry to hear of Geroge's passing. Although we lost touch with each other as adults, I can say George was one of my best friends as young kids growing up. Earl Stafford

I was saddened to hear about the recent death of George Hood. He and I grew up together as members of the Ebenezer EUB church in Allentown, PA, and were two of the six members of the church's confirmation class of 1958. George's parents and my parents were good friends and fellow members of the Ebenezer church choir for many years. All are greatly missed. My sincere condolences to George's wife Linda, and to his siblings Bonnie and Carol.
