George Toth

George J. Toth, 94, of Lititz, and formerly of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully at United Zion Retirement Community in Lititz, on Saturday, March 3, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Sophie (Melasco) Toth, who passed away in 1989. Born in Leckrone, PA, he was the son of the late John and Catherine (Racz) Toth. He honorably served his country with the US Navy during WWII. George worked for the Bethlehem Steel in the Metallurgical Department for 36 years, until retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Ursula Catholic Church in Fountain Hill and was also a member of the Hellertown American Legion. SURVIVORS: He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Deborah Goldsmith and her husband Andrew of Lititz, Cathy DeTroia and her husband Carl of Asheville, NC; granddaughter Andrea Itnyre and her husband Nikolas of Ephrata; great grandson Odin Itnyre; nephews Charlie Mayer and wife Nina of Florida, John Mayer and wife Linda of Commack, NY. He was predeceased by his sisters Marie Ann Scharch of Bethlehem and Kathryn Mayer of Syosset, NY. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday March 9, 2018 at St. Ursula Catholic Church, 1300 Broadway, Fountain Hill, where family will receive relatives and friends for one hour prior to the mass.
