George J. Vasko
George J. Vasko, 90, of Allentown, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 3, 2012 after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Frances H. (Pinchek) Beruta Vasko. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Kocis) Vasko. He retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1961 after 21 years of service. George was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church. He was a life member of the Mora Club, the Grover Cleveland Democratic Club, the Washington Republican Club, and St. Bernards Beneficial Society. He will be missed byall, including his beloved dog Maxie. Survivors: Son, Thomas Vasko of Manchester, CT, daughters, Carol Vasko of Riverside, Karen and husband Benjamin Toczek of Riverside, PA; brother, Joseph Vasko of Bethlehem, sister, Anna Pelizoto of Bethlehem. He was predeceased by sisters, Margaret Lambert and Mary Rogan, and brothers John and Stephen Vasko. Services: A viewing will be held on Monday 9 to 10 a.m. in Kohut Funeral Home, Inc., 950 N. Front St., Allentown, PA 18102. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church, 924 N. Front St., Allentown 18102. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
