Our heartfelt condolences and sympathies go out to Marilyn, Chris, Shirley and Gordon's many friends. His love of classic cars brought him to be one of the first volunteers at America On Wheels. He was always there to lend a hand and assist with the many projects and exhibition changes throughout the years. His experience as an electrician enabled him to "light the way" for all of us at the museum as we set out and progressed along on this incredible journey. We will never forget him because every time we see a burned out bulb or experience some electrical glitch or need another hand with the exhibits, we'll be saying "sure wish Gordon was here." We will miss him immensely and will ensure his legacy lives on at America On Wheels. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and all those whose life he brightened along his personal journey. Love, Linda, Tom and Bobbi Jean Merkel.
