Grace Silliman

Grace S. Silliman, 101, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 in the Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the wife of the late Milton P. Silliman. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Estella (Holland) Crone. She was employed at the former Goldsmith Purse Factory and the cafeteria at Hiram Dodd Elementary School. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Allentown. Grace enjoyed writing poetry, was a volunteer at the Lutheran Home and taught English as a second language to many individuals. Survivors: son, Theodore and wife, Elaine; daughter, Karen G. Silliman; brothers, Martin and Frederick; sister, Jeane Rosenberger; three grandchildren, Todd, Jeffrey and Megan; two great-grandchildren, Jillian and Madison. half-brothers, Byron, Allen and Eugene Crone; half-sisters, Louise Russell, Anna Haas, Carolyn Sandt, Donna Hoppey and Gail Keglovits. She was predeceased by brothers Roy and Richard; sisters, Althea Grammes and Virginia Krisko; half-brothers, Robert, William, Stanley, Jr. and Edward Crone; half-sister, Betty Linseman. Services: 11:00 am Saturday, November 4, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Church 37 S. 5th St, Allentown, PA 18101. A calling hour will begin at 10:00 am in the church.
