Harold Schoup

The Rev. Harold M. Schoup of the Uplands Retirement Community, Pleasant Hill, TN, died December 15th at age 83. Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 61 years, The Rev. Dr. Ann Hausman Schoup, three children, Mrs. Sandra Richard, wife of Robert Richard, The Villages, FL, Mrs. Fauz Schoup, wife of Steven Brooks, Nashville, TN, The Rev. Bruce Schoup, Seneca, SC, and 3 grandchildren. He and his wife graduated together from Coopersburg High School, Ursinus College, and Lancaster Theological Seminary, were ordained in the United Church of Christ, and served together for the next 17 years in Iraq, Syria, and Turkey. Upon return to the United States, Harold was Administrator with United Church retirement homes in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Christian Concern in Pennsylvania. He was an active member in the Pleasant Hill Community Church UCC, the Uplands Retirement Community, and other local charities. Services: His memorial service will be on January 16th, 10:00 a.m., at Pleasant Hill Community Church.
